BLANKENBERGE/Hospitality Margot seeks transferee Margot (72) is leaving her well-run daytime business on the Grote Markt after five years. There is no transferee as of yet, and the owner doesn't want to rush into this. "My heart and soul are in this bar." She may be from Aalst, but Margot prefers not to hear the word "washed up. "Even when I was fifteen, I was here every week on the market with textiles. Blankenberge has become my new home," she says. Five years ago, she took over the business, formerly the Monte Leone. "I also used to do catering and wanted to give myself a new challenge five years ago. First I had my eye on a tavern in Leopoldstraat. When that didn't work out, I ended up at this establishment and I haven't regretted it for a moment. This has run well from day one," says Margot, noting that her business has a truly prime location.
